Eldridge Street
New York, NY, 2021-Present
Housed within a historic 1940's carriage house, our Eldridge Street project selectively transforms original details and historic elements while introducing modern programming, amenities, and aesthetics. The street level is activated by a range of programming — pop-ups, boutiques, art shows, and rotating food concepts — but the truly distinctive spaces are revealed upon traveling up the second floor event space. A 50-foot-tall central atrium extends from the second floor up to the transparent lap pool. A multi-story water feature and circulation core composed of metal grating and smart glass are contained within the atrium, providing a heroic interior vista at every level. Visitors may explore the waterfall, which meanders down the multi-textured, planted strata of the north wall, into the koi pond at its base. The experience culminates on the roof, an indoor-outdoor entertainment hub containing the requisite sound and projection systems, a 50-foot-long, completely transparent pool, hot tub, and planted deck — all primed for observing immediate festivities and the city at large.
